was wondering about dashboard vents

i want to paint the vents on the dashboard, Ive been trying to pry them out but they wont come out. Is there any little trick to get these out.. And also where can i get the clips for the dash im missing like 5 clips. Thanks

You have to take the dash bezel off first.
I believe they're supposed to be permanently attached, but mine aren't.

The plastic piece in front of the radio, hvac controls, etc, the part with the vents on it...

Dealership charges about 1.70 a piece for those clips... Pullapart FTW!!! If you must go to the stealership they have an odd name, all I can remember is they called them yellow something...
