ok so i have a 2008 Base model with the monsoon system with XM bur no OnStar. i have noticed at higher volumes i lose the Bass in my speakers. my front door speakers have the seperate driver and tweeter. what can i do to keep the bass at all volumes without having to install a amp and re-wire the entire thing?? i want to put some JL Audio C-650 or Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.1 and possibly put the same in the rear in lieu of the 6 x 9's currently there. I do not want to replace the factory HU at this point, since i like the XM thing and not wanting to buy an external unit. so give me your expertise so i can crank up some god tunes.

bad thing about that is then i have to dump a small fortune in to it, and i end up with one more thing in my way to get the XM stations. what a pain in the posterior.

nope alot of new decks have xm/sirius ready to go....yes it will be a small fortune i have like 1300.00 total in my system and its just a basic setup.2 digital dynamic 10's... pioneer premier deck... all memphis door and rear deack speakers and all memphis amps along with wires and all that good stuff.

yea i didnt try though...lol i have always been a fan of quality loud music.but i agree with what ur sayin ...deck 150 amp 150 and can prolly get 4 speakers for cheaper than 200 +harness and wires he should be good to go.

you should have 2 amps set-up in ur vehicle...atleast mine does, i'm not sure on the wattage or if they're anygood since most of my speakers need replacing anyways but just throwing that note out there, they'res always something bigger and badder...
