Want to make sure I'll be ok

Hello all,

So through all my research, I want to make sure I'm on the right track. On sunday, SD headers are going on (thanks to corey for helping me out). I'm then going to drop to the 3.4. I will be able to scan with torque app to make sure i'm not getting a crazy amount of KR. I already have a slp catback, HAI, MPS and an Intesne PCM. I should be okay with the 3.4 and the intense PCM right? I've read some people drop to 104's and some not drop to them. What should i do about that and do i need to throw on a smaller belt? (658?) I've read some people are on the 3.4 with the stock sized belt. Also does the O2 defouler trick really work? or do i need get the code tuned out. I'm hoping to clear my cat out and keep the shell there just incase anyone has nosey eyes.

Thanks a lot,

Chris

I am running a 3.4 with no tune ( I wish I had one because I know there is more power and MPG to get out of it ), headers and 1.8's. You will need to go to a smaller belt....there is a thread on it that tells you the correct size somewhere. Both O2's and EGR are connected and I get no check engine lights. No other changes were made such as a non-fouler. I did however, remove my resonator and put a glass pack in place. I am also running the NGK version of the 104 plug. Can't remember the actual part number, but, your parts store can cross reference it over. I do remember my local AutoZone had to order them ,but, Advanced had them in stock.

Oh and I heard that 3.4's run around 13.8-14.3? Is that true? I ran a 14.8 with bald tires

If your stock belt isnt super old you will be fine. I ran the stock belt. Anti fouler is up to your car if it works or not. Id run 104's but thats me, for a couple bucks a plug cant go wrong.

I have no clue. The only way I can see this setup getting you into the 13's would be if you put the car on a diet. Maybe I am wrong and a proper tune with a shift kit would get you there, but, I can not say for sure. Someone else may have more input on this.

is there alot of people who've had good luck with the fouler? and i think i'm going to run the 104's, don't know about the belt yet

if i port the supercharger when i have it off when i change the LIM will i need to tune it then? Just the outlet.

Reuse the exhaust manifold gasket? And does the egr just bolt up to the header?

chris I told you already, if you dont mar the stock ones taking the manifolds off you can reuse them. egr should "bolt up" how I dont know never had one!

just wanted to make sure! :th_nanana: gotta drill out that egr plug and get it all ready for sunday. Hopefully going to be able to drop them in from the top. looks like i have enough room

Ive been reading up more on this going catless thing and have a question. Does the fouler trick only work with high flow cats? Or will it work catless too.
