• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Want to lower your car? Look in here!!

Great information on here!! I have a 2004 grand prix gt and I really want to install lowering springs. I have 19inch rims with 1inch spacers and I am afraid of rubbing issues. Also I live in Michigan and like to put on snow tires in the winter which have 1.5 inch spacers for just the front wheels. Does anyone have some advice to help me properly and safely lower my car!! Thanks

Has anyone bought these springs from the Wbodystore?

W Body Store

They don't seem to have a brand name.

I cannot find any pictures on the web either.

From another site.

I have a question about lowering the car and the cars' turning radius. My stock setup (wheels/tires) were 225/60/16's. I upgraded to 235/40/19's, keeping some meat under me and the combo overall diameter the same. What's the lowest I can still effectively lower the car without hindrance?

you can go all the way to the ground, but its going to take modifying the fenders and running weird alignment settings.

i ran eibachs on my car with 19s (245/40/19). once i rolled the fenders i never rubbed again.

I saved up my money and i think i've decided on the held coilovers, but ive been thinking on maybe going with heavier springs than what are default i guess. do you guys have any suggestions or advice about that or maybe how heavy i should go? and also does anyone know if its cheaper to buy from held or zzp? maybe zzp has a coupon code right now?

Thanks

Alright thanks. And what about going with different weight springs? I want it to be pretty stiff and i want to go pretty low so i was thinking that might help bottoming out issues a little bit

hopefully when i take my car out from storage i will install coilovers, is it possible o be able to tuck my bullits? 36+ offset? i got 235-55-17 now and hopefully later 245/45/17

pretty much the same thing as the held/zzp ones.

all of the sets available are modded struts with sleeves and potentially a pillow ball upper mount. building them yourself would be easily under $500, but most people dont understand how simple it really is.
