Want to lower your car? Look in here!!

well bio, you ran eibachs for 50 000 miles... Im planning on keeping the car 2 years, i make 15-20k miles a year. sooo i should be fine.

just a suggestion: it might help for people to see the differences in prices of the different springs...if you're feeling saucy.

i dont care about prices and neither should anyone else who is considering lowering their car correctly.

Nice post Bio, very informative. Wish I had found it before doing as it would have answered a lot of questions.

Can you elaborate in the first couple posts about which combo's should have the bumps trimmed. I didn't find anything with the Vogt's that said to trim and so far don't feel as though it's riding on them.

Also it would be good to add that anti-pogos are front sub frame bushing washers.

Bio, u got any info on putting bags on a GP?

i dont know much about it to tell you the truth.

the springs usually come with directions that tell you to cut the bump stops or not. that's really why i didnt add it in my post.

as far as the pogo washers, ill update that.

Hey everybody, i recently made and upgrade. I went with Eibachs and GR-2. Then i got spacers from GP club member. And put in with new mounts. Car lowered much, and looks so much better. Totally different thing, Liking it very much. But it feels like something wrong, when im braking car is not evenly balancing out. Like one rear side is stiffer then other. I dont know what it would be. I had the service installing it, can they screwed something up with installation? Im thinking on taking some time and looking all over. When i get to put my f-body brakes in.
And yeah, is its necessary to modify bump stops? What your opinions on that.

No i actually not sure if i even have them, but i bought 2 new front boots KYB which have them, and how much should i cut.

i dont know. the directions for the spring install should mention it if they want you to cut them.

anti-pogo washers

these install between the sub frame bushings and reduce 'pogo' that youd get from lowering the car. it just tightens up the sub frame so it doesn't have the chance to bounce over bumps.

This doesn't make sense.

W-bodies aren't sub frame cars. The pogo washers engage the bushing on the strut mount more positively.

But they ARE the washers from the subframe... at least they damned sure look like 'em.

What subframe? These cars are a unibody... The main rail in the front clip that goes all the way to the front bumper cannot be removed from the car. The washers go in the strut tower, on the strut mount.

A car with a subframe actually has a half frame you can remove and the front end (body) will come off with it.

ClubGP:

There's a link to what they do.

Am I wrong? Someone else chime in if I'm not making sense.
