walbro pump and/or hotwire mod

Has anyone verified there to be any gains on a stock or even a bolt-on car? I got the original hanger with a bad pump and a used setup in the car now with a bad sender. I'd like to get a new pump to put in the sender and don't really know where to go with this. Reliability is an issue here since it's a daily driver, but at the same time if the factory stuff has shortcomings I'd rather correct it now. THis is on the car with 6800 miles.

What car?

Without that, no one can make any recommendations.

Furthermore, these cars (assuming its an SII+ 3800) don't see significant benefits from anything other than flow mods and more efficient power adders.

what your saying is that the stock pump is more than capable of keeping up with the car. What do you suggest for replacement brand? I'm not asking about this stuff for a performance standpoint, I just figure if it's a shortcoming at any point i just as well replace it. I know on older boosted cars, such as my buick that the stock pump and wiring can't support much more than stock.
