• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

VS Cam Build.

L76 springs and retainers are awesome for small cams. I shift mine at 6200, rev limit at 6300 and they never float or give me any grief. All for under $70 right from the dealer. As stated though if you already have something else that will work just as good stick with it. As for injectors if you have any thoughts about going e85 I wouldn't waste my time with 42's. you will need a tune anyway so why not jump right to 60's for an extra $20-40 and be done with it.

Yeah unfortunately I have the springs already.
Injectors aren't the issue it's stations and being my dd
i have two sets of 60s one new and the other used I don't have 42 it's a hard decision honestly I would love e85 but seems like that would have to wait for my xpz build

Dude if you have two pairs of 60's, throw the other in the vs build. I had 60's lying around because I was going to go turbo, but I scrapped the build. When I did my NIC build, I bought 42's, thinking 60's would give me issues. You can tune 60's on a "mild" setup like what you're doing. If anything it's a muh better injector and better spray pattern. I know people bash the guy, but Nick (snowflake) tuned 60's on his N/A 3.8 because he was going to turbo it a couple weeks later, and he needed to the the intake manifold swap to convert from S/C to N/A. He said he had no drivability issues and gas mileage was about the same.

Sorry to break in to your tread but dude I'am looking for 60 to 90 injectors for E-85 any of you want to turn them loose $ ?

Looks like most of the misinformation have been fixed in this thread.

Except, don't use L76 springs. They are not rated for the lift the VS cam on stock rockers will make.

I did not know this I thought it would be too much of a injector to use on a vs cam and mileage would drop a good amount over 42s.
In that case I think I might get two different tunes one to run on 91oct and other on e85 with the same injector if it isn't too much of a hassle.

Sorry for the reason why I had them and not sold them is because I still can't decide what fuel to go with but now seems like I can use my 60s for 91oct which I didn't know

I run my comp cam with 512/512 on L76 springs and stock rockers, it is perfectly fine after 20k....

I know people do it....it's not something I would recommend though.

Just like myself running a stock timing chain with 20k miles on it...10k using LS6 springs, and 10k using 130# springs. I wouldn't recommend that to anyone.

I don't care about deflection.

Maybe some detail, article, or documents of some kind to illustrate your point would help people to understand why a spring that's more than capable (infact nearly ideal) of handling a vs cam shouldn't be used.

These one liners aren't helping anyone.

Read what I've already posted. Post #26.

As far as the Trans go say I do get to 350whp max out if the setup I plan.
Will a shift kit harden 4th be enough I was planning on using the sonnax upgraded valve body but idk if there is stages of this there is a guy selling it on the forums.

No, you will probably want an input shaft and 7/8" chain as well.
