• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! I noticed there are quite a few people that are registered and have things for sale in the classifieds and dont list where they are from nor is it under the avatar area where the Location is that most registered users have filled out. There are a lot of people that sign up here and may just have a quick question or dont post much and I can see in that scenario where it is not important, but in the classifieds it would save having to ask where the items are located such as cars or larger for sale items that are pickup only. Maybe it is just a matter of not filling out your profile and some forums that I am registered on require this mandatory to be viewable be anyone. Just a suggestion and may even be a good idea for people who want to meet up that dont know where others are from.
 


I changed the setting so that if you update your profile or are a new registerant, you will be required to put your location in, however that wont keep people from putting stuff like the land of oz or some crazy stuff.

I do like the idea though...I went thru the first 2 pages of the for sale section and found 4 that did not have locations.

They are supposed to provide a location as part of to rules for using the classifieds. If that is not happening, then that too is also a failure on the admins and mods to keep that policed enough. Admittedly I have not spent much time there checking to make sure that the posting there conforms to the rules.
 
Very true Scotty and I too am guilty as charged. As I said I checked the first 2 pages and plan to dig a little deeper today.
