Vibration when slowing down

My wife's car is having a problem. When I'm on the gas there is little to no vibration. When I do feel vibration I turn the wheel to the left a little and the vibration stops, turn right vibration continues.

It is most noticable when I'm doing 70 on the interstate and then let off the gas. Then I feel the vibration from the front, when I apply the gas again the vibration minimizes or stops all together.

Anyone else have this problem?

i would say it is a wheelbearing due to the fact that it changes as you turn normaly if it stays the same no matter what way you turn are you having any noises

Can also be tie rod end.
I just replaced mine and it got rid of a lot of vibration.

Also can be a warped rotor.

Jacked it up today at work. No play from top to bottom, tried left to right...had about a 1/2 play one way or about an inch of play altogether.

was it the inner or outer tie rod either way if it has that much play its pretty close to coming out of the socket

If you have play, you have to figure out if the side to side play is the wheel hub, or the outer or inner tie rod end.

Most likely, wheel hub though if your inner and outer on that side with the play look and feel in good condition.

Advice, if you do replace your wheel hub, buy a Timken from AutoZone, lasts sooooooooooo much longer than any others out there.

Also, you might try to load the suspension. Put the car on jack stands, then put a jack under the control arm to kinda make it sit where it would normally with the car on the ground. Jay learned this a while back with a car of his, we couldn't figure out what the vibration was until we did this. If you have a tie rod that's bad, it will definitely show up there. You probably know how to check the rest of the typical stuff with the hub and half shaft.
