alright i got tinted taillights but i want them darker, i wanna do VHT nightshade on them ontop of the tint i alrdy have but thing is the tint on my tails are on the outside and not the inside, i know u gotta prep the taillights up with soap and water and different grids of sandpaper but i cant use the sandpaper cause it will/possibly scratch the tint, would i be able to skip the sandpaper process and it still look good? or is there another way? (im not removing the tint on my tails)

you have actual tint on your tails? the VHT paint might eat at the tint and may not stick very well. take the tint off and just VHT them to as dark as you want

ah ic, i would take the tint off if i didnt alrdy spend 90 dollars on it, when i tinted the tails i thought they woulda turned out darker then they did, but oh well i learn from my mistakes haha

where did you get them done at? and how dark are they? i have actual tint on mine and its 20% and looks pretty dark

romero's on state road across the street from the prison, guy said they only have one shade, and i was like ok, urs are def darker then mine lol

its pretty easy and it will cost you what 20$ in supplies to redo em?
cost of the supplies aint a problem just way i see it is if i remove the tint on my tails i just basically pooped away 90 dollars, maybe ill do it in the near future or just but tail covers on them

i got a one year warrenty and they did do a great job, cool ppls to, just didnt have much of a variety of options of tinted tails lol, just one shade that i have no idea wat it is, im guessing its 30

i don't know why they only would have one shade if they are using tint doesn't make sense to me really lol

yea i dont know y i didnt ask them that question haha didnt really occure to me at the time i was just like w/e, but yea looks like i just get tail covers for now, that will look dark on the edges

no look they will turn out fine, i would just redo them and get it over with and the results can be good if your good.

yea it looks pretty nice, thats another thing i needa do is vht the reverse bar and 3rd break light, guess ill wash the tails and put the clearcoat on then vht and see how that works

when should i sand it? after u put the clear coat on? cause i cant do it before that cause like i said tints on there

you really should peal it off but you want to rough it up but you have the tint so i cant tell you how well it will turn. but yeah just hit with some clear sand with 2000grit to ruff it up then apply vht then you want to hit it with the clear then fine sand it and buff

eh see thats the problem i dont want to remove it yet cause i feel like the 90 dollars went to waste if i did it, so maybe in near future ill remove it then VHT it, for now i will just get a tail cover so it will at least be black on the edges and leave it at that, thanks for the input tho fellas
