I've bought VNT at my local Oreilly's store. Maybe check there?
So I went and bought all the stuff to tint my tails and heads. Chose to start with my brake light for practice.
My brother in law, who claims to have done this alot and been paid to, proceeds to take over without asking and starts doing it. I let him do it because well I assumed he was good at this and I didn't know what to do.
He leaves for San Antonio with instructions to put on a clear coat then polish after letting it dry for an hour. I wait for an hour, go outside and there's cracks in the tint all over the brake light. It looks like complete utter f*cking sh*t. I could have easily done a better job. Seriously the guy just threw on several layers all at once im guessing because that's the only reason I can think of that it looks this bad. Now I have to go spend MORE money to fix this sh*t. DAMNATION.
Shouldnt have tinted your headlights so dark if at all and you forgot your 3rd brake light.
What slick said. Your light output is total **** right now.
^^ this dont do it like i did...sure it looks cool but unless you are runnin HIDs you might as well be running without headlightsDoesn't matter, I would never use or suggest VHT to be used on headlights.
ill try buffing them more with a machine maby but i buffed them a few times as hard as i could then polishedmore buffing needed, did you use clear coat?
looks like i can see scratches still or it just may be reflations the pic, but they lost their shine.
they look like what mine do in person i did 3 coats vht and 3 coats clearthis was 2 coats of vht, 5 coats clear, wet sanded and hand buffed,( i used turtle wax liquid compound heavy to medium) i later used a porter cable on them and they got more shine.

hey, i used VHT nite-shades and i was completely happy with how it turned out. i only did 3 or 4 coats of it because i didn't want my taillights completely blacked out. using nite-shades is hard because you need to make it consistent with both lights and that is harder when you don't go the complete black out.
here is my before and after
