VHT Nightshade

I remember going into o'reileys and they said they didn't have it, and i saw it in the back sitting on the shelf...so yea sometimes they do say they don't have it and do. Either way, they can order it

I know this thread is pretty much dead! But the "part number" for the VHT nightshade at Autozone is SP999.

i have never gotten any beef with cops about it and i have been pulled over countless times lol, the only crap cops bust my balls for is having that front license plate cover on, i wont take it off.

taillights

I tinted this set with nightshades + canned clear coat.

It looks like that under the nightshades which gives it the appearance of being darker then it really it. Thats black paint.

IFFFF anyone is in the southern ontario area, Automotive Warehouse in Niagara-on-the-lake sells the VHT Night Shades for about 16$ a can, which they always have in stock. I'm going tomorrow morning to buy everything I need and will be doing it tomorrow hopefully. Anyone tried this on an 04-09 model GP yet? If not, I'll get er did and post some pics within the next couple!

im telling you what guys ive seen this stuff time and time again. I HATE IT. I suggest taking then to you local paint shop. I paint for a living and have done almost every car i have ever owned, just getting ready to do my gp. if you go to your pro. paint shop they will but a little black basecoat in clear and spray the lights that way. they turn out 10 times smoother then if they put 2 coats of regular clear over them they can wetsand and buff them so they have the same shine of you car. i suggest spending the little bit extra i think you would be happier.

on THAT intense note. I VHT'd my tail lights tuesday. Love how it looks. Did 3 coats of the VHT, and then two of the clear coat and I'm very content. to anyone who likes to do their own work, I'd suggest to give it a shot. If you are like "mjm06" though, then a tint shop COULD do it.

Keepin' Fresh.

VHT goes on crystal smooth if applied correctly. Its all in the preperation and the final clear coat to get the tailights to look amazing.

Even a little bit of black base or a black tint added to clearcoat can look rough depending on the preperations and how it is sprayed.

I did mine today i did the driver side one at like 9:30 and it came out soooo good then i did the passenger side one at bout 8pm afterwork. in the am the humidity was very low. Then i did the passenger side is when the humidity was like 600% and it got really flat. it sucked
