I got a 2000 grand prix with a new 3.1 motor we just got the car and they said its been run enough and is time to adjust the valves so my question is how do you adjust the valves on this motor? Thanks.

Who is they? Just curious... what do you or they mean by RUN enough? Track car? And you mention a NEW motor... how new?

My suggestion would be to ask they who stated this is necessary! Shouldn't be a problem with the person explaining not only why it is necessary, but what will be done to accomplish it.

It is after all their suggestion!

Well they are the people we got it from and the motor was brand new it has about 3000 miles on it now and they said they was told to adjust the valves after it was drove a certain amount of miles but I don't know how to do it or how to adjust the lifter preload just trying to find out how
 


There is no adjustment anywhere to adjust.

Rockers have no adjustment
Rocker bolts have no adjustment
Lifters have no adjustment
Pushrods have no adjustment.
