Vacuum system and fuel filter

So I didn't want to start two threads for one topic. But my gxp has been having a rough idle lately and its almost like there's a vacuum leak somewhere or fuel filter needs to be replaced. My question is how do u check the vacuum for leaks and how and where is the fuel filter located?

fuel filter, you may not have one, but if you did it would be in front of the drives side back tire.

vac leaks, take a can of carb cleaner, and spray the vac lines area by area, and the sensors they plug into, ans well as around the TB, if the idle jumps up, you found your leak area.

if you find nothing, try lifting the vac lines or shifting them around when spraying the carb cleaner at them.

What about the fuel pump? I mean one morning it didn't want to start the first time then today it started fine but when I gave it a little gas to go it acted like it was gonna die then finally went normally

That also could be the start problem...had the same issue with my other Pontiac I had just forgot all about that

well i think it may of been a mixture of two things. First the battery terminals were corroded all to he** so i used a wire brush to clean them off. and the throttle body looked like it needed a cleaning but wasnt to to bad. i still took it off and cleaned the heck out of it.

Also my voltage levels in the car are noticeably higher than before. So I think the battery terminals were the problem. I'm sitting at a little over 14 volts now compared to right at 12.5 before
