Vacuum/boost line coming off blower

Hey Guys,

New to this forum but on my 3rd GTP. This one is stock besides the K&N setup I installed yesterday and the 160 t-stat. Looking to do some healthy mods down the road!

My question is in regards to the vacuum/boost line located towards the inlet side of the blower. The small one between the master cylinder vacuum line and the boost bypass valve line. What does this lead to? Does the ECU read from this? Does the boost gauge on the dash read from this? Why do some owners cap that off and eliminate that line?

Thanks for the help!

Glad to join the forum :th_thumbsup-wink:

Not sure on the lines, but that 160* stat will not help you unless you are tuned for it. In fact, it may hurt mileage by not letting the temp come up fully. That and the fans are still set to come on at 210*.

I am having trouble with my temp sensor that I just put in so I decided to put in the 160 until I get a new sensor installed that functions correctly (makes me nervous to see my temps that high). I was under the impression that 160 would be worth it to reduce KR though? I also have a 180 that I can put in as well.
