Utah.. no one really??

I went in to Premier today to talk about tuning. I was sort of annoyed. Brock was not available. I tried talking to the guy up front, but I might as well been talking to wall. Cost is $550 for a dyno tune. They use HP Tuners. I asked what they "tune" or whatever. The response. "Everything". Really?! Everything?! I mean, at least say something intelligent to me. I asked them how many other W bodies they had done. Another kid had come up front. He said that they had done one GTP. Said it was near stock and they got it to around 275WHP. I honestly think that they know what they are doing, but not sure I'm going to pay $550 for tune for a company that has done 1 W-body and responds with "everything". I'll still decide what I'm going to do, but will not likely go there. If I have trouble tuning, I'll probably pay for a canned tune to modify.

Cliff, if you know Brock personally I'd love to go back over there another time where I can talk a little more. I think you are back here in UT shortly.

Yeah you want to make sure you talk to brock or heath when you go in, they are both really good and i wouldn't worry about taking my car into them at all. wonder how many customers they have lost to the "everything" answer from the guy behind the desk lol

Yeah and in the end i will tune my own car also, just saying that both brock and heath have done alot of tuning to alot of different vehicles and i would trust them if you decide to pay them to do it. but personally for $550 i will street tune it myself.

275whp on a near stock car? Yea he was blowing smoke. I know brock. Great guy. 550 is a fair price for a dyno tune...not sure why everyone thinks dyno tuning should be 100 bucks.....

Not sure who thinks it should be $100. $550 may be a fair price if you know what you are doing. They didn't say anything to indicate that they did. Like the fact that they have a dyno machine at all is proof that they do know what they are doing?! Responses about tuning a car to levels that are just not realistic-strike 1. Statements like "everything" without any follow up or anything else-strike 2. Even if you do tune "everything", maybe say something about V/E or shift tables or timing or ANYTHING really. I suppose the other factor here is that they just didn't want my business so they were blowing me off. I guess they just think that their business speaks for itself and I should want to kiss the ground while I'm there. I may go back one more time with Cliff when he's back.

Considering they have tuned 90 percent of the fastest cars in utah.....they have a pretty impecible record. The fact they have only tuned a few wbodys means jack, as its a dying platform and in no way popular in this state

Hey guys i am looking for an 04+ hood, dont care about color or paint condition, just needs to be straight or easily repairable. let me know if anyone comes across one

Was it this car? If so, his name is Kyle. He's a cool kid. Car is mostly stock, but super clean. If I remember right it only has like 75k miles or something.

Well I got my turbo set up in. All you guys should go find Facebook group UTR: Utah racing. There are a bunch of grand Prix and regals and stuff on there locally. Cliff and I are on there. Seems like they get together often too.

I was just on utr today. Never knew there were so many w-body guys around. We need to do a meet. Maybe i need to recruit you all to help me finish up my build. Lol

So what is the name and location of this place that does tuning? I found Premier in West Jordan but I found another place last year but I can remember where it was. It was on a side street and they tune mosty LS motors. I was refered to them by someone I met at RMR. I think they were located in Sandy or somewhere arround there.
