I'm still around. I think most of the guys on this thread check in periodically. Cliff is hanging out in the "big desert" for a while. I think he gets home next spring(ish). I'm in Sugarhouse/Millcreek area.
 
I noticed in your sig you have a tk tranny. What all is done to it and hoe much was it. I am going to need a new one soon.

Can't remember everything at the moment. I converted to 3.29 gears.hardened input shaft, 7/8s chain. A few other things. I'll let Tim quote you a price on a trans, but i spent over 2k.

Ok cool who is Tim. I was going to go with a zzp but if there is someone lse that knows what they are doing. I just want something to hold up to some abuse. I am suprised how good mine has held up for a factory.

As far as suggestions, it depends on what you are trying to do. I am trying to make some decent power, so I needed a little more trans. If you are staying stock(ish) I'd probably just run the trans until it won't run anymore and then just swap it out with a used one if/when it breaks. If you are going to add some decent power then it probably makes sense to determine how much of a built transmission you'd like and what kind of money you want to spend. My TK trans has been great. As of right now i have a 2001 GTP special edition. 3 gauge pillar boost,transtemp, and aeroforce scan gauge, tinted, factory wheels untill i can get new tires for my 18's.
motor consists of 1.95 ration rockers 90# springs. zzp fuel pump rewire kit,front plog,rear ported manifold,and cross over all ceramic coated, 3" zzp downpipe and high flow cat,ported and polished gasked matched LIM gutted SC housing and plated off, zzp turbo tune pcm, rear mounted turbo running at 10 psi no KR, poly front bushings.
my wife just rear ended someone i was going to get a custom hood but instead i decided to keep it stock and fix it myself. i am waiting on zzp to send out my new parts. front and rear stainless plogs, TOG 3" dp with cat, turbo z7 downpipe and xover pipe, already got my intercooler and piping in the mail.
