"I have a 1992 Pontiac Grand Prix. I was driving it one day, I turrned it off. When i went to turn it on again the car would only clck so I thought it was the starter or the battery. I replaced starter and got a new battery but the car still does not crank normally. I placed a direct cable to the starter but it still does not turn on. The problem is that when I try to crank the car I hear the starter moviing but the car does not crank.



I am starting to think the car might be locked up and am gonna take the spark plugs off and try to turn the engine but other than that i have no other ideas.


Any suggestions?
 


If the starter is turning and the engine isn't, then it would have to be the starter solenoid or a problem with the flywheel like missing teeth. I can't think of any other way one could turn without the other.
