• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Upstream 02 sensor speed daddy

I worked the fire wall a little but it looks like i need at least 1/2" to get the sensor in. I read about the corvette sensor being shorter. i would rather buy a new 02 then keep air hammering the fire wall. what did you guys do when you installed headers?

i put mine in the cross over pipe years ago. just the other day i had it installed in a new dp i had re built. new flex and new pipe minus the goose neck.

what about a 90 degree elbow adapter. Would that bring the sensor too far out of the exhaust stream to read correctly?

I found some weld in bungs as well. i only have mig welding abilities at home, wish i had a tig.

Front sensor needs to stay in the exhaust stream, no 90 degree elbow should be used.

I mig welded my wideband bung straight to the side on my SD downpipe, worked great.

When you guys welded in the bung did you use SS consumable and the correct shielding gas?
I have a mig and can get SS wire for it but i dont want to shell out the money for another tank and tri-mix gas.

I read if using 75% 25% mix for mild steel the weld joint will still rust. I am prolly over thinking it but it would be nice not to have the bung weld rusting on nice polished headers.
