Upgrades?

haha, aside from the blackholes that were once tail lights, i mostly just wanted to see how black looked on my paint job. I'm gonna go for it, now i just need to make sure that the 3rd brake light and back up lights will show through a layer of nightshade

I'm also trying to research mufflers. I want Borla, and i like the sound of the XR1, but they don't seem to have the right size for my 06. I measured the stock inlet at 2 in offset with 2 1/2 in center outlet (obviously outlet doesn't matter) so i'm wondering if any of you guys know anything

Quick question for ya ZR1, how do you plan on smoking out your tail lights? Im kinda thinking of doing the same to my 02 GT.
 
quick question then, does anyone on here know absolutely for certain that a bolt on cone filter will increase power over the factory intake?

By no means am I reppin summit but they have a nice amount of mods for your suspension, intake, plugs, maf's, and brakes!:th_BSflag-big:

Since you included MAF in that list of mods it goes to show you that you don't need to buy anything from Summit because we don't need "Performance MAF's" for our cars...only time you upgrade the MAF is when you upgrade TB's to a N* or LS1...or if your going from a L36 to L67. And to top that off they aren't even performance MAF's...they are just larger factory MAF's. Such as the LQ4 or the LS1

Don't worry about not having enough light through the Niteshades. I've done the rear turn signals in the bumper of my Land Rover as well as the turn markers on the ARB bar and they are BLACK. To blend in with their surrounding. Yet they are just as bright as they were before I sprayed them. No joke.

Group consensus on brand? One of my friends told me specifically "DO NOT BUY k&n CONE FILTER, GO WITH AEM!"


Also, I'm really wondering if I can do just mufflers. No point in spending so much extra money on a cat-back but I want the Borla XR 1 which not only doesn't come in a catback for the 04+ but the mufflers themselves are longer than the factory ones and have a larger inlet... ugh, will it work?
