Only my second post and sure you have gotten this one many times. New owner of a 2002 GTP and looking at making some affordable upgrades in the near future after i get my full tune up complete. Can you guys give me best power for my buck suggestions? If possible let me know what brand names you suggest or favor over others?? Thanks for your help guys!

Literally been on this forum and others for less than a month and what I've gotten out of my questions is the following (in order of priority/convenience)

Normal Maintainence
Coolant flush and replace with green coolant
CAI or FWI (you can make one yourself for relatively low cost, but there are some by K&N and such)
New spark plugs (one or two steps colder depending on your setup in the future). preferably NGK
colder thermostat (180 should be okay)
pcm from your choice of tuner
smaller sc pulley
3" downpipe or headers ( a bit pricier, but worth it later if you want to do some serious modding)
rockers

I'm not giving too much on exhaust because that can affect sound and such, and that is a personal preference so I'll leave that to you.

Might have missed a few things as I'm a bit new too. Hope this helped

Thanks for the post! is the changing from dexcool to the green antifreeze a common thing? They say changing that can effect gaskets and corrosion on certain parts (manufacturer says) I have heard about others doing this what are the benefits to making the switch?

Dexcool itself is corrosive and part of why GMs have the gasket problems they do. It also likes to sludge. In short, it's crap.

if i was starting with a stock car headers 1.9 rockers and 3.4 is where id start.

then a good tune and e85 if you can.

open cone filter rockers headers 3.4 and e85 would rip pretty good for a simple setup.

(willing to bet you could go below 3.4 on st9ck gen3 supercharger on e85)
