Hi Guys,
i am changing the heads on my 2006 Grand Prix due to some cracks and while putting everything back together i found this harness laying around and i don't know where it goes.

The harness has a red label with 1281 on it. Anybody has an idea?

Thanks a lot and happy thanksgiving day.

I know there is a harness in the rear of the engine kind of by the alternator that goes to nothing. Is that where you got it from?

coolant temp sensor pigtail

from plug near injector 3/5 to the collant temp sensor below the T stat housing, harness runs bewteen alum dogbone bracket and T stat neck to keep it off exhaust.

pretty common for both ends to get unplugged during a teardown.

that plstic tab halfway sticks to the top of the studed bolt holding on the T stat housing (bolt should be in the lower left hole nearest to dogbone bracket

Ohhh thank you so much...... i wonder why they had such an adaptor harness like this. Maybe they changed the type of sensor during the years?

the harness on my car is much shorter looking. it goes from the temp sensor to a plug on the top of the lim. it routes under the d/s dog bone.

yes, early cars had a 3 wire white connector and 3 wire ECT, then it went to a 2 wire ECT while keeping the 3 wire white connector, eventually replaced by the 2 wire white conn in 03ish+
and that pigtail is used in a different location on the F body's and other 60*v6 engine harness'.
