Universal Hood Scoops

So I'm a student on a very, very tight budget. I wanted to do some exterior work on my gp this summer. Now I've been lookin online and found some hood scoops that are just stuck on with 3M adhesive.(I'm guessing pretty powerful stuff?) I was wondering if i should go for these, they're only 60-70 bucks, and i have connections that could paint em for me. But would they look just too poser to look at all good? They are defintetly cheaper than an entirely new hood, but i want to it look good. I was just lookin for some feedback on it. what's your opinion? Super Poser? or just good enough? I have a red 97 gp gt.

i personally think the cheap hoods scoops look just that..cheap. id love to get a ram air hood myself, but just as you are i am a college student on a very tight budget. in my opinion, i wouldnt spend your money on that unless you can somehow blend the hood and hood scooops together.

To each his own, but honestly I'd say no way. I think they look cheap and ricer. I know what your saying about cost. I waited 2 years to buy my hood because it was so dang expensive.
But yeah honestly, I'd say no the the stick on scoops. I think just about everyone on here would agree.

I agree 100%! Do not buy stick-ons. Your money can be much better spent in other areas. They look bad, aren't functional, and no one will believe they are. I am one of the top believers in exterior styling and modification, but will not touch or advise anyone to use products without purpose, function, or aesthetic value. If you have $100 buy some corners, tips, tint tails, or whatever. Could also go minor performance like home-made intake/FWI, minor exhaust work, etc. Good luck!!

Yes I agree!!

They're crap man, save your money and do some other mods. Or buy from a fellow GP-er someday when you can afford a hood or Daytona scoops, but those Lund scoops or whatever youre talking about from ebay are junk. You and your GP both deserve better
