The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.
Alright thanks guys. The new intake didn't come with an EGR tube so I'm just gonna figure I don't need it. It does look a lot better around the passages then the original. Thanks. I'll probably get this done this weekend. Don't wanna go through the horror of hydrolock again.
Interesting. All it came with was a new PCV sensor housing/clip and the gasket plus the UIM itself. It's been installed without one for a couple days now, according to my dad.
Remove the fuel rail. Four 10mm nuts. Remove throttle body. Three 10mm nuts. Remove all the UIM bolts. I don't remember how many, but they are 5/16 believe.
Those hidden bolts are for the LIM. There are 12 LIM bolts.
Like those above..I forget the number of UIM bolts, they are 8mm. I pull the fuel rail off, then the UIM with TB connected. Unless you are going to clean it.
At this point you are looking at the LIM. In the front drivers and rear passenger corners there will be a pool of oil. Stick your finger into the oil and you'll feel the head of the bolts. Clean up oil and you'll see the bolts. 12 bolts.. count them. :th_thumbsup-wink:
One more quick question. I already have everything I need to block the coolant passages and I'm doing it Saturday. I still want to put an EGR tube into the UIM. So I'll go to the junkyard and grab one from some L36. My only question is, do they just pull out? And then I'll just push it into my LIM? Or is there some magic trick.
