Type of glue for weather stripping?

Well I was driving down the road when I heard this terrible popping noise. I noticed it was coming from the top of the window. Further investigation showed to be the weather stripping between the car and the window.

My question is what glue or epoxy to use to strap the weather stripping down without it having to be tore to shreds when the window is replaced?

i would use clear silicone but maybe try an auto parts store for the proper stuff whatever it may be.

I had the same thing happen on a work truck and just used clear silicone, dont use too much cause it will ooze out of the weather stripping. Wipe off the excess and it should be good for a long time. Oh yeah get an old tooth brush and get any dirt out that is in the seams or it wont stick.

Oh I plan to wipe the crap out of it! Thanks guys. I've got this issue, coupler replacement, and some greasing of the front left spring, then I'll finally have a noise free ride, lol!
