Picked up my s10 about 2 months ago for $600. I got it from a family friend, and he thought the tranny was bad. After I got it home the only problem was the E-brake was stuck, so I cut the E-brake wire, put new brakes on the back, and It has been perfect. Its 2001 with 87000 miles has the 4.3 with a 4L60E tranny. I mainly bought it so I could hall my tool box to work and school, and to drive while I get some stuff done to the Prix.

The Day I got it

After I removed the side moldings and waxed it

Now the grill is panted and the wheel well moldings are removed.

This is how it sits, later plans are a 3/3 spindal and leaf block drop, not any lower because it is my DD. I hope this spring to get more stuff done on the GTP so I can go to the meet in june.
 


It's hard to find that combo in good condition.

Factory 4.3/4L60e combo in 2wd is the best and extended cab.

Will make for a great 5.3 swap someday.
 
Yeah I hope it wont rust out, it has bubbles on both cab corners and on the right side bed lip, living in iowa I try and wash it twice a week. Also have a 2004 5.3 in the garage, waiting to go into something, might be perfect. Maybe this summer I will by a **** car 5.3 swap the s10 and get my GP where I want it.
