• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Tyler's 00 GT daily/beater (hopefully)

Thanks! I'm pretty pleased so far. The lack of tint and the junk lights seriously make my eye twitch though. And I can't do anything about them until the asphalt season starts up.

I won't run HIDs in this car until I get projectors. The stock housings have terrible scatter and glare with HIDs.

That's not in too bad of shape for the mileage, arguably my '99 GTP was overall far worse shape with 100k less miles, lol.

'Grats on getting her fixed and cleaned up. :th_thumb-up:

Thanks! I'm pretty happy with it so far. Needs some stuff still. Front struts, shifter adjusted since it wants to move backwards in park if I rev it. Probably will need brakes in the semi near future. All in good time.

Did truck stuff with it yesterday. Yanked my buddy's beater out of the yard and up by the garage so he could start working on fixing it.

New fog light bulbs. At just over 3 bucks each I figured it would be nice to have those working again. I plan to drop a set of HIDs in some smoked housings this summer so I didn't want to spend a whole lot on something I planned to replace later on.

The fog lights? It wasn't that big of a deal. Under ten bucks and about 10 mins of screwing around trying to get them into the housings lol.

I know what you actually meant though. And I appreciate it. I just kept a real close eye on everything I was doing and as much as it sucked sometimes I went to all lengths necessary to check myself. Even if it meant pulling everything out that I just put in to make sure I had something right and clean, lubricate, reset, and reinstall it all over. The way I looked at it is yeah, I might have a half hour into pulling all this back out and putting it in again but if I did **** up and didn't check it I'd be out another week putting it back on stands because I didn't double check that one stupid little thing. I triple checked all my nuts and bolts on torque settings, read the manual three times before doing something. It was tedious as all hell but I cane out on top because of it.

Toying with an idea........ It's electrical tape since I wasn't sure if I would like it. Opinions?

Also the option of inverting and painting the whole lower section black and leaving the letters body color. But that might be a bit much. I like subtle changes.

I wanna do the front plate cover letters but nobody makes them. I've settled on carbon fiber I also wanna do the lower front bumper opening.

He just said Reflective Concepts makes the lettering. I bought a set for my plate filler. Looks great.

That's kinda what I was thinking. So far I've been gauging my mileage per tank with the average economy meter. At 16 average I should get gas about 250 miles in. I'll be close to running out at about 270. 20mpg nets me over 300miles to the tank.

Changed the oil filter and topped off the system with a quart of dex6. Hoping that cleans up the rest of the gunk. Next weekend it's getting an extended life Napa platinum and 5 quarts of Valvoline syn power.

Back to full synthetic and an extended life filter. Hoping to pay it off in the next two weeks and then I can start doing stuff to it.
