• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Two Morimoto projectors one cup...uh...I mean headlight...headlight

Sweet, never hurts to have another set of headlights in case I mess something up. Much appreciated. :p

I am such an a$$.

LOL yes that you are sir!! When you do get everything tightened up, do you think that you would do set-ups and charge people for it? I damn sure would pay up to have dual projectors!

No, and not to be an a$$ but just because there is so much involved with doing a retrofit from getting all the parts to taking apart the headlight, cutting the plastic behind the headlight, doing the reflector cutting and fitting then sealing em up properly, it's a huge pain in the rectum. Hell I've been working on this retrofit for like a month, a half hour here and there because of not having the time. Plus, there is always the possibility that something stupid would happen and I break someone's reflector or something, hasn't happened to me...yet...but knowing my luck it would.

I'm more than happy to help someone as much as possible with ideas and advice. I am thinking about doing a write-up when I get a chance. I'd like to do a co-write-up with a certain alcoholic on this site that's done a retrofit but I'm not sure if he is willing to punt or not.

If that is your easy way of telling me to get off my ass and do it my damn self then ok...LOL j/p but thats cool too. cant wait for a write up!

Trust me once you do one yourself you'll be glad you did. I had a guy on GPONA do a set for me because I was too much of a pansy to do it myself and I wasn't satisfied with the result. Wasn't his fault, I just wanted em done another way so with my second set I did it all myself and am glad I did. Like I said I'm more than happy to help anyone willing to do a set I'm just not going to build one for anyone.

Trail and Error and messing up happens, but its not anything you can't fix. Its really not that bad, its not like the end of the world if you mess up, you learn from your mistakes.

So...how much did you end up trimming behind the projector? Because I think drunkie said with the minis you only have to trim that plastic ****.

i wish i had the money to attempt this. but i guess ill be attempting this when i get a new truck later down the road

thats sick, wish i could do something like that.

if you "like" this im going to drive to canada and drown your ass in maple syrup.

Looks awesome I've been trying to tell everyone to go this route over ebay projectors. Once you get the other side done you're going to light up the world!

I'm guessing you mean the plastic behind the headlight? If so, this is what I did:

I only cut as much as I needed to fit the projectors because I didn't want to weaken the plastic too much. Granted, it is pretty strong plastic and there is a metal locking tab that bolts the headlight into place but I didn't want to take any chances.
