It's your money do what you want...but dumping thousands into a twincharged GTP just makes me shake my head. I like the idea of a proof-of-concept science project, but I think it's little more than that.

I just don't think the w body is a good platform for this. When you're all said and done you will have a crappy handling FWD automatic car with a ton of power and commensurate tq steer.

I say this owning a GTP and knowing its limitations (terrible handling, FWD, laughably bad interior and build quality, etc).

Don't get me wrong - I love my GTP. I've put almost 140k miles on it and it was the first new car I ever bought. It's still in pristine condition and I drive it most every day (even more than my GTO). But - it is what it is - a less than nimble UAW built FWD tank that benefits from one of the best engines ever made (and little else).

Save your money or buy a used crotch rocket to sate your need for speed.
