TVS swap?

i have about a 4g budget to play with come tax time, (for changing power adder, im going to do other mods earlier)
but for now, i want to get my car into the 5 second 0-60 class, with the v8 chargers, the 370z etc,
from what i udnerstand the cheapest way to do that would be headers, intake, e85 injectors and tune?
without the e85 that would still be 3.4 teritory right?

from what i understand when it comes to the 3.4 a good intake and headers (along with the plugs and tstat) is enough my first set of mods budget is about 600$

If you've got 600 get e85 right away. 200 60 lb injectors or 42.5's so you don't have to tune it. 200 for injectors, 200 for headers. 100 for plugs/tstat random stuff and you got an extra hundred.

thats worth about 60hp right (with a 3.2)? These cars will run straight e85 without tuning the fuel tables? I thought the tables had to be changed.

if you just put in 42.5lb injectors, they are about exactly big enough to get away with running e85 w/out a tune. headers e85 and a tune is in the 50-80 hp range i'd guess.

So just drop in the e85 and go? 42lb injectors and just fill up with e85 and that's it?

Wow. Was never aware of the simplicity. One more question though, what happens if you don't swap the injectors when going back to 93? Thanks for the info and sorry for thread jacking.

hmm 60hp should definitely get me into the upper 5 second range, how does this play with intercooling the engine?

stock injectors no tune 93= car happy
42.5 injectors no tune e85= car happy
stock injectors no tune e85 = car VERY LEAN
42.5 injectors no tune 93 = car VERY RICH.

No matter what you do you wont be able to easily switch between fuels, you have to pick one and stick with it pretty much. our cars don't have flex fuel capabilites where you can go back and forth.

Well its not my DD, so i could definitely make this work, add a cam and the intercooler, and evo watch out

Yeah. Cam + IC + e85 = machined snout and 2.55 pulley. AKA maxxing out the supercharger. Which has an AMAZING blower whine. xD

Well mines my dd and it's only one station in the area. Hmmm. Seems like an easy power boost and just have to swap injectors when wanting to go back to 93
