TVS Regal vs heads/cam/ic/meth GTX

I'd like to see Danomites car. There's one question I have about when he steps on the throttle, the sound of whine from that blower. Should be easy to hear. Should be about the only thing the camera hears.

Quick couple of items to keep things on track there though
S2 heads aren't a huge gain.
Full exhaust...again..until you are in the million HP range, all it does is get louder quicker. You and I both proved that.
This race trans... what gearing is in it? Most race transmissions were built with 3.29 or 3.69 gearing. When I did mine, they were 3.29's so that I didn't lose as much of the advantage at highway speeds. Still lost a good amount of long leggedness though. That one thing could explain why you pulled him at first.
Meth.. it's not a full time always spraying system, right? Can't compare that to E85. Does meth help? Sure does..it's not E85 though.
The full sized IC is going to help him on temps. Speaking of which... have you hooked up a gauge to that temp sensor I had left in the LIM? If I were you, I'd swap that out for a true air temp sensor like Matt mentioned in the LIM thread. You'll get faster readings from the sensor he mentioned vs the one I had used.

You did well and the TVS is impressive. How about hooking a local up with one of the adapter plates? What's my cost for one?

Lets all talk about PSI...

Zoomer has the highest m90/tvs dyno ever on a 3800.. and he used a m90gen5 and made less than 14psi.

For some reason I feel like you are just talking stupid talk when you reference boost numbers.... I have always equated PSI to power LOSS as it shows restriction / valve float. One great thing about SC cars is the fact you can identify valve float by watching your boost numbers climb while flow stays stagnent... In turbo cars you watch your flow numbers fall instead.

My cost is $300 for the plate... you might be better off modifying an intercooler or something.

I'd talk about how much of a waste of time it is talking to or about you... but I've already wasted enough time.
I'll just say that he woulda made more with a TVS.

you can see my car Bill, just dont say anything about the clear coat peeling on the hood when you see it. *sadface* lol and who has a race trans? All i have is a completely rebuilt one with all the good stuff, 2.93 granny gears and a 2750 tc. The meth sys is a Devils own progressive sys. Starts spraying at 5psi, ramps up to full at 11psi.

The difference from 93+meth versus E85 may be unfair for 93+meth. It should be more like 93+Meth+IC versus E85 Non intercooled, non meth and test results. Like I have mentioned before in other threads, there are guys out there running cam non-intercooled E85 setups with 2.8 pulleys on and guys running stock cam non IC E85 setups with 3.0 pulleys, both have not hit the threshholds of ethanol yet, the demand on the fuel system seems to be the holdup. You are correct, there are no clear-cut tests done of this but on the other hand I have not heard of a person who reached the limits of ethanol as well.

GTX: L32, xp cam, modified st 2 intense heads, headers to full exhaust, Eaton Gen V w 2.8, full size zzp ic, CAI, #60 injectors, Devils own Meth injection, built trans etc etc.

When Nick said built trans, I figured it was what most would call a race trans. Which equates to little more than gearing, possible stacked clutches and the updates. I wouldn't laugh at peeling clearcoat. Bodywork sucks, mainly because most of us don't know how to do it and the cost isn't cheap at all for quality work. My built car had a rattle canned front bumper.

I'll just maintain that if we raced with me on 93 and him off the meth, the race would look pretty much the same.
Then you're talking about TVS = Heads/IC

Which is basically what I've been saying all along.

I just copied his signature over from clubgp.

you can run speed density all you want if you actually tune your car worth a ****. lazy tuning and letting the MAF do the fueling changes for you is what 98% of everyone does.
