You could call it that...but...I call it something else entirely.

I LOVED carrying around police issue weapons & ammo, specifically for those certain "hairy" situations. NYPD ain't too smart. (no offense), by the time they (or internal affairs) figure out the shot didn't come from one of their OWN, im LONG gone.

I've got a S&W .40 Sigma. Its not exactly carry friendly so I'm looking at a Makarov right now. You can get them for around $300 in 9mm format. They are supposed to be extremely reliable and accurate. They are pretty similar to the Walther PPK.

I'm also digging the Arcus 98DAC. Its Bulgarian made and the carry pistol of the new Iraqi police as well as all the Bulgarian cops.

Its not tech. a 9mm. It's 9X18... true 9mm is 9X19. The Makarov round isnt very powerful. I'd look at Kel-tec P11 in 9mm if a 9 is what your looking for. Small, compact, easy to use.
 


I just researched the Kel-tec. Seems like a nice, economical carry pistol. Anyone know anymore cheaper carry pistols?

What the real diffence between the 9x18 and the 9mm (9x19)?? I mean could that small of a size difference really matter that much? Or is it actually how the Makarov operates that makes it even weaker?
