Turbo Regal vs mid 500whp Grand National

I don't comment here much... and I do not know Nick personally other then chats on FB here and there as of late and posts on ClubGP.

I enjoy that he did the majority of the work at his friends garage, and did a HUGE number of things in one large blast and
was able to roll it out and get on it while others take years to get any results or end up like most with a DNF. Most throw in
the towel on the first hiccup.

I did talked to him about his logs/speed compared to my turdbo car. He has the MUCH better Precision converter while I had
a ZZP/GT converter that massively slips badly... anything over 19psi is useless as no more power gets to the ground. I am lighter,
slightly bigger cam, but pretty close in setups in general. I murder the 0-60mph but from 60-130 i take a hit as the converter
starts to slip badly and keeps on going worse. Zooomer and Matt were suprised I ran the times I did with massive slip. Anyways,
his 60-130 appears to be close to 1.5 seconds quicker than I am getting to 130. Heavier car at roughly same boost I was at, and
moves out quicker from 60-130. I do have 130# springs on the ST5 cam which hurts and 150# on now.

If he can nail the 60 foots and not blow the tires off, his car is a nice solid 10 second car if all holds together. It looks pretty stock on the
outside, sounds quiet, is a runner, built mostly by himself... I give two thumbs up on the job.

Win or Loose against a turbo v8, it should be an interesting race either way. Tho I am sure if the v8 guy looses, some one is gonna say it was
because Nick runs with fender liners and that is cheating :th_winking:

i'm totally cool with ragging on people that i don't believe in. i've never seen a single number posted about this car, it's all fairy dust and top secret setups.

LOL, win or lose, it'll be good fun. Nick takes down some serious cars and that's impressive. Nick also has a reputation across a couple of states for various cars he has had etc, that's how this in part how one came about. I was chatting with this buddy, asking if he knew the GN in the vid. He mentioned that, he'd like to see how he did against the Regal. Maybe Nick's car can win by a fender liner...

The bull**** is fabricated by people who are salty.

I have a build thread right here on your forum...

LOL please never say "your forum" again..........

Edit: Also since no one seems to talk about them what is the noticeable difference with that "top secret" convertor you got now?
Also do you have comparison scans or data logs showing it getting rid of slip or any idea how much it helped? Needs to be more pros and cons info about that if there are even any cons at all.

It's the same precision converter anyone can buy.
Mine just has the TCC seal in the hub when its usually on the input shaft.

Nothing secret about any of this lol

When you have no argument just go nonsensical.
In other news, I may be racing a 740whp GT500 this weekend... should be interesting.
