turbo help

only thing about my turbo i know is that it came with the ct kit, its a Precision PT61 Turbo. 60-1 is ball

Precision PT61 that commonly came with the Cartuning Kit

Turbo is a Precision PT61
T4 .69 A/R On-Center Housing
3" inlet / 2" outlet (E compressor cover)
4-bolt On-Center exhaust flange
Precision 6152E rated at 630hp
61.8mm inducer compressor wheel
62mm Stage 5 turbine wheel
360 journal bearing

GMR any info of the turbonetics 60-1? :)

Too many variables.....Once you have a part number or something else to go by I'll be able to provide a little more info.

They are roughly about the same in theory......I'd suggest the 62-1 if you're looking for a slight upgrade

Some will argue that yes it's too big but on the other side of the argument is that everyone that has gone to the bigger turbo has never looked back. Everyone that has stepped up to the T67 (or equivalent) has loved it.

There are people that have taken the 2.5" downpipe w/cutout to 550whp. With 3" downpipe it's a whole lot easier to hit the number. What are your overall goals?

I have a CT kit with a PT61 and as a DD it was a fun ride. Now that I have a 1" GMR I want to jump to the bigger turbo kit.

No set goals bc I have no trans work. It's also my dd. just want something bigger just incase if I want to mod again ill be good.

The 3" is nice but if you're on a budget stick with the 2.5" downpipe. Cartuning kit has been running them for years and people have had no problems putting down 500whp. I always mod on a very tight budget. Are you going to be tracking the car at all? Or you said that it was going to be your DD.

350whp makes it difficult to get traction
450whp almost impossible to get traction
550whp is just silly on the street
