I am new to dhp and i am trying to get as much info as possible i i see a lot of references to jerrys notebook and wiki open tuner note book but i cant open it does anybody have a copy or can anybody refer me to a site that can help me with the air fuel spark tune like where to start first and what tables to modify i currently have 6 degrees of kr with a 3.4 pulley rockers headers intake and more
 


they are taken down because they are wrong.

If you want to fix your cars KR, tuning is not the best answer. PE modifications will make it richer or leaner under boost, removing timing will help kr go away, but it will still leave you low on timing. There is no need for a "guide" when a few numbers are all you'll ever need to change.

It is not the guide that was posted on here. it is the guide that was recommended by DHP when their website/forum was still working. its more about explaining what each table does and what the data means.

you have a unique way of tuning and should make your own guide.

I have my own way and have seen great results. there is plenty to achieve in tuning. tweaking shift points, adjusting for different tire sizes, optimize for a specific air fuel ratio. but when done correctly you end up with factory drivability.

I understand the factory tune has plenty of work and research put into it. countless hours and testing had been done by GM that none of us can match. that being said, the testing and research was performed on stock engines and not ones modded. mild mods will not require drastic changes to the file but a few little tweaks will help. heavily modded cars will need equally in depth changes to the PCM file to account for the changes made.

Ugg. The reality is this is not true. There are very few things that ever need to be adjusted in the PCM.... I pretty much wrote the book on 'heavily modified" and my fiero is pretty fast on a factory sealed 01 montecarlo PCM...

"tuning the balls" out of a car is not going to help you... Put the right information in for what you are doing and leave it alone.
 
Thanks for the info you sent me its exactly what i was looking for i have not gone threw it all but a great start for me to decide where and how to make the changes and if any at all now if the info is good or bad i dont know at this point but coming from dhp carries a little weight me personally i take all the information i can get and decipher whats right or wrong especially if its coming from an individual on the internet
