• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

tune

I'm a huge noob on this subject. My local tuner has no programs for our platform. Is there such a way were I can buy a tune/file specific for my mods and have him run it on his equipment to run on my car? I have a 97 gtp with 208kmiles on a 3.4 gen3 with headers and a cat (no check engine) with a 1.0zzp PCM (option stock) new wires, al104s, open cone, 180tsat on 91 octane. With about 5kr at 6,600 rpm.

I just floor it till it shifts.
But a lot of his words are in a different language to me he says he can tune anything with an ems? Should I just contact zzp I think they provide tunes in files

ZZP canned tunes kinda blow. whats a ems? we use a pcm in our cars, and zzp sells a pcm loaded with your modded files. not just bin files.

i could send you a dhp bin file, not sure wtf your tuners gonna do with it unless hes got dhp.

There is no set tune for those mods.

Every car acts different to mods, I'd stop hammering on it if you are seeing 5º of knock past 6,000 rpms. Thats just asking it to chip a piston.

Like said, if you tuner has the DHP tuner or HP Tuners software, he can tune the vehicle.

thats one reason to tune. edit: thought this was the e85 thread.

id be looking for another place to tune it too.

He knows what he's doing. It may have been my noobyness on this subject or bad wording. Correction 6,600k rpms was a exaggeration more like low 6ks. And reptile you can get me a PCM already tuned? Is that what you mean?

Reptile does canned tunes here. lots of happy customers from him over the years.

your shifting at 5400 rpm. unless your trans is slipping like mad.

it is likely your analog tachometer is ~200 rpms off. my last grand prix was off, as well as this one. I didn't notice until I set the aeroforce scan gauge to read rpm's and saw the discrepancy.
