if i take the egr off, what do i need to tune out in the tune???

I believe you set the egr temp as high as it will go that way it will never turn on

And just set the code as no error reported and you should be good.

There is more than one code...at least for my 2002 gtp.

Look at P0303-P0305, thats what worked on mine.
