trying to fix stuff

hey its been quite some time i been on here so hello again
i am having a weird engine temp problem and a misfire issue that is probally a maf sensor or coil pack and i was wondering what you guys think

the car has speed daddy headers (horrible dont buy them the flex pipe went bad asap so i got an awesome exhaust leak) colder plugs and a ported sc

the engine warms up really quick and will go up to the danger zone if sitting still for too long. i tried replacing the thermostat and no luck there. as long as im moving it will sit at about 190. dunno if this is normal with these cars because i have no one else to compare to but from what i have learned in the hot rod world i know the temp shouldnt be jumping around like that.

now the misfiring thing is a random occurance that only happens when i have been driving for a while or beating on the car ALOT. when this happens i smell a large amount of unburnt fuel so its not fuel cut meaning its ignition. i replaced plugs and wires just this winter. so i think maybe coil pack. but the maf sensor is really sketchy as well i can pull it apart and look at the chip of the sensor and the previous owner tried to rtv this back together so im planning to buy a new one.

also the traction control crap can i remove it? the light says its off 24/7 but its definately on

im trying to fix the car up since it was my first car i ever bought (yeps its been running strong for 5 years now) and i would like my dd not to be an anti-poon

when i had my 2000 t/a i started having an overheat problem and i couldnt figure it out for the life of me. replaced the radiator cap, flushed the system, replaced the t stat, and checked the fans and seemed to be working fine. so i bit the bullet and took it to a shop, and guess what, my high speed fans werent working so at temps above 210 i had no cooling fans, just my low speed fans. maybe check those out, if not then maybe you have clog in your system.

There is a fix for your headers problem. Because many of us now know of the issue with the flex pipe and how the simple design fails.

You gotta buy a 3in flex from ZZP and weld it in and that will solve the problem.
