Trunk randomly pops. wtf?

Yesterday morning I got in my car to head to work and when I started driving the dinger went off. I noticed the trunk light was blinking. So I stop and shut it. Then when I got off work I noticed my trunk was popped again. Everytime the car sits for a few hours the trunk pops. Same exact issue today. I suspect a bad switch in the glove box or a or the release mechanism on the latch is messed up. The car doesn't seem to have any other electrical problems. Everything I know of works on the car except the display on the radio which is obviously a typical Genital Motors problem. Anyone have any experience with this trunk situation? I would just unplug it but I don't have the key to the trunk.

Maybe your doing it from your remote to unlock the doors?
Pushing the wrong button or its just messing up?

People replace the lock cylinders when they go bad... its common. No ideas as to why your trunk is doing that though.

My key works for the doors and ignition but not the trunk. It goes in about half way and doesn't turn. I will try some penetrating oil into the cylinder. Maybe it's just froze up? If that works, I will just disconnect the switch to the trunk release till I figure out whats going on with it. Thanks for the input!
