Has anyone had there trunk light work off and on? Sometimes it comes on and sometimes not. I have tried activating the switch on the latch (rear compartment lid ajar switch) that is supposed to close the circuit but nothing happens. When it does come on turning the switch on and off does as should? Also tried testing ground on the switch but can't seem to find a good ground source. Any suggestions would be appreciated. If you can buy a new switch (rear compartment lid ajar switch) the GM part number might turn me in the right direction. The positive wire going to the light is the Orange/Black wire without the Entrapment Protection
 


It is designed to only have the trunk light come on when the interior lights are on and the trunk is open. The positive battery feed comes from the BCM, the ground comes from the trunk switch
 
Ok that makes sense as when I had the car running (was checking the trunk ajar light on dash to see if it worked) the light was on.

I guess everything is as it should be.

Thanks for the heads up (I have been goofing with this for about three weeks and you fixed me up in less than a day).
