Troubleshooting obd port not working anymore

hey guys im curious if anyone has ever had this problem happen not just to a grand prix but any car for that matter. Before i was able to read the codes in my gtp with my code reader and now all of a sudden it dosent come on at all? I checked my grand am and it works on that just fine so im stumped as to what is causing this? Any advice on what i could do or check for would be great as i dont know much about wiring on cars. Thanks!
 


Do you get any power off of the port? If not definitely check the fuse for the cigarette lighter. They are on the same circuit.
 
Most car manufacturures put the dlc fuse on the same circuit as the cigg lighter. Ive seen some that have their own but not common.
