Trouble firing- 2006 GXP

I have 2006 GXP and I noticed that it starting getting issues with firing when it was cold outside (below freezing), but now I'm getting issues with it not firing off right away, anytime, especially when the engine hasn't been running for awhile. The engine turns over just fine, it just doesn't fire right away so I'm thinking there's some kind of blockage in the fuel lines or an issue with the spark plugs. Does anyone have any input on this?
 


How old are your plugs and wires? General maintenance up to date? Ever cleaned your throttle body? If you're not up to date with keeping your car running well, start there.

Spend just a little time and money now to cover the basics then figure it out from there if something is still wrong.

Clean the MAF sensor and throttle body, replace spark plugs if original and over 75k miles, always run 91+ octane fuel with those 5.3 or at the very least 89 octane. Run a can of fuel system cleaner through the gas tank.
 


OK cool. I'll try that and let you guys know. And by the way my car has around 72k miles on it and I almost always run 91 octane in it.
 
when I got my 06 I had to change the plugs, Only the dod cylinders had deposits on them. That fixed the minor miss it had.
 
I ended up getting NGK TR55.

Seem to work just fine, tossed on new plug wires too. Car only has 60k but I wanted to get it done, especially since I had the transmission out.
 


You can't miss it, it's filter and then MAF sensor.

It has 5 wires coming out of the plug in.

Keeping a engine bay clean is easy though, wash it down and scrub it clean then just rinse it off every one and then.

And he's right, I don't own a car anymore. I have a truck.
