• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Re: 99 GTP, First pics

so after being told that there had been a little problem with the negative terminal in the past not getting enough power for the battery to start, i came home one day last week and the car wouldnt even start, just one click, so i went under the car and saw that the wire that goes from the neg port on the battery to the front of the transmission, the end that goes to the tranny wasnt even bolted down, there wasnt even a bolt, so i went and got a bolt of the correct size..which took a little longer than wanted, i finally screwed it on there and even tightened up the positive terminal end as well, and now she is starting up nice.
silver nut is the new

and another slight problem i had was my HID's would go off and on sometimes while driving and would flicker when you turn them on but never go to full brightness even when the car is off, so i ordered up a harness and now with the car off, they turn right on and no more flickering.
and man do the headlights need restoration...

Re: 99 GTP, First pics

i love your car man, but im quite curious on how exactly did u get those seats in. I read through your thread and you said it was easy but What exactly did you have to do?

Check my post.. think page 4..
edit:
Not quite this easy, if only!
Had to fab custom mounting brackets and weld them to the floor. Then drill holes through the floor and drop bolts through the floor of the car and bolt them in from underneath from the sheet metal pan(there's some extra metal welded in for added security).

For the heated and cooled seats, in the STS the factory setup works through the climate control head unit. It sends a serial data message to the control module in the seat. There's no simple way to fake that, so the heating/cooling elements are wired directly to switches, each with it's own power/ground. You don't have the ability to control fan speed, or temperature of the heaters, but they work.

Seats will run about a grand for fronts and rears... if you manage to find a set.

Re: 99 GTP, First pics

it has been done. Mufflers are on and she sounds so smooth. still a loud beast, plan on putting a bigger resonator on to make it a little quieter so i can get that exact sound im looking for but she sounds sweet right now.
Before

After with Flowmaster Super 44

and here is some pics off them welding and doing the process...
