Transmission shifting hard

Hello recently my car has had an with the transmission. When the car shifts it will make the whole car shake like it does not want to go into gear. The check enginge light will come on and if I try to put it into manual mode and use the padel shifters it will not let me shift. The transmission does not make any noise it just takes a while for it to shift and shakes the car violently. When I shut the car off and go back later there is no problem. It occurs about every 3 weeks and sometimes more frequently. Has anyone else had a problem with it. The engine light only comes on when the transmission is acting up and it does not store the code into the computer.
 


u have the code scanned could be a p1811 pressure control but i dont think that will make the light come on i had that go out in mine which is a 2000 gtp and it shifted like i got rear ended LOL
 
Let's establish some things first. Whatcha driving Sparky? We know it's a Comp G, what year?

If you have the car scanned by someone with a higher end scanner, it will read the history, current and immature codes. Or wait until the car does it again, then scan w/o turning it off. Trans codes do reset when the ignition is turned off in order to try and give you the best drive possible.
