Trans to Diff Bracket

Looking for a part number here. I am waist deep changing out my flywheel, and I have realized that the b1tch bolt is missing along with this bracket from BillBoost37's writeup:

The only thing I can find is part number 17 in this diagram which looks to be in the right location but is the wrong shape:

I also need the size bolts to get for it and the b1tch bolt. Any help is much appreciated.

The diagram you posted does not have that bracket in it as the bracket is on the engine side of the vehicle. If you look at the engine bracket side, you will likely locate it. I BELIEVE the bolt in question is a M12x1.5 about 70mm in length. Someone else might be able to verify that. I would just go to the junkyard and nab one...because it's a heck of a lot easier. LOL

The diagram posted calls out the 2004-2008 bracket as #17. (fuggin hate that bracket vs the one in my picture).

Honestly..I'd go to any junkyard and nab one for $5. It's 4 13mm bolts. All trans bolts are the same. While at the yard..bring an 18mm and snag one of them.

So... not gonna lie I have not had this bracket on for about 6 months now.... I drive like an idoit and regularly do HARD launches and full throttle pulls every day. Should I put it back on?

"should", yes..

Did I find mine at my buddies shop one time after we did an install a couple months earlier (and I abused my crap as much as the next guy, maybe more) I sure did! I didn't see any issues from not having it. I'm sure there's deflection and a greater possibility of stuff going very bad.

Just wanted to follow up with some eye candy (i.e. pictures). I know how much we all love those. I also have a couple questions.

Crack in the old flywheel:

Alright now for the questions. The following pic has two items circled and labeled A and B. I need to know what these things are.

There is a vacuum line goes to A from somewhere. I broke the nub off that the vacuum line attaches to when I lowered the engine.

Item B looks like it should have a solid plate (end cap) but it looks to be punched through. Not sure what this is or how it should look.

Thanks in advance.

A is your evap purge valve, look at the lines in the loom for your fuel.. you'll find it there.
B looks like an air pump connection.

I think I have an extra bracket and the bolts you need from a spare eng/trans in my garage. I would sell them to you if you are interested.

Yeah..take a look at that tube and see if it's plumbed into the exhaust.

A bunch of cars had silly air pumps and crap. IIRC that's the location of where the soleniod would have bolted up. Then an air tube to the front drivers fender (at least 97-03 years it was front left fender).

I guessed the bolt on the left was the ***** bolt because I'm not sure which one is, out what it looks like. I can go look and see if I can find some shorter ones.

The two that go into the block.. same exact bolts, just about half the length.

That bolt you have on the left is the one that the grounds go to on the bottom of the trans at the starter area

That is the bracket I am needing, let me know what you are thinking. I went to the hardware store to get the b!tch bolt, it was M12x1.75 I think.

Bill what purpose would the air pump be for? Also like I stated, there is a hole in the cap plate of mine. Should I re-cap it? What would be affected with the cap punched through like mine is?
