Trans shift time, pressures, and force motor current

So decided to tinker around with hptuners on my car. I want to firm up and speed up the shifts a bit, but nothing crazy. Mostly to prolong the life of the tranny during daily driving.

I've been comparing a lot of files to the stock tune, but they seem to be all over the place. I don't trust any of them to copy those tables into my file.

Any general recommendations, or anyone want to share their file?

FWIW, it's a 2004 Impala SS with high miles on the trans.

I just set the shifts to .300 and upped the line pressure by 10%.

I was also running a shift kit.

So you guys are running a flat .3 or .175 across the board on the shift time tables? What confused me about most of the tunes in the repository is in the lower ft lb colums they sped the shifts up, but in the higher levels they actually slowed them down.

And the 5-10% bump up under the force motor current tables?

I just actually changed the fluid and filter. If I realized how easy the transgo shift kit was, I would have done it. Still might order it and pop it in.

That's usually done cause at wot sometimes the transmission can't shift in time. So the shift is delayed to meet the commanded shift time

I never touch the force motor current, just change the line pressure.

There is a normal and performance mode under shift pressure. I add 10% up to 450 ft lbs.

Finally gave that a shot. So far so good. I went .300 across the board up to the point where stock times were lower. Didn't touch the 3-4 times either since they were already around .275

Bumped the upshift pressures up by 10%

Think I'm still gonna do the transgo kit too..
