Trans shift Issue from 2-3

I have been having this issue for a while and it has not gotten any better or any worse for that matter. When I shift from 2nd to 3rd it seems "Soft". The rpms will hold and steadily reduce as it were to shift into 3rd. If I were to let off the gas from 100% to about 70% it seems to shift just fine, just at wot it shifts soft. Almost like the clutch is slipping. It does it in Drive and also when i tapshift but less when I tapshift. here is a video of what it does.

How many miles? I'm assuming you don't have a shift kit in it? If not, you could put one in, and inspect the oring on the 2-3 piston, and make sure the bore in the 2-3 accumulator isn't glazed. That could be the issue. I'd start there. That definitely doesn't sound normal.

If that doesn't fix it, there could be a problem with certain clutches being worn out, or low pressure delivery to those clutches.

The transgo is a pretty good kit, it's what I've got in mine. It didn't really affect my upshifts much, downshifts were dramatically improved though. There are a few good kits out there, it just depends on what you want out of it. I can't remember what the other kits are called, but some argue if you want a little more out of a shift kit(better up sifts), that transgo may not be the best choice. But since you have a tune increasing pressure, that should take care of making all shifts quicker, so you may not need anything more than a transgo. I'd say do a little research, I'll try to find a thread about them if there is one.

Oh, and how's your trans fluid level and color?

Yeah I wonder if they even touched the accumulator during the rebuild. Could be possible they did and messed something up. Did it do this since the rebuild, or just recently? Also make sure the level and color is good.

Shift kits:
Intense is a Transgo with a couple extra spacers, fresh seals, filter and green scrubby to scuff the bores.
ZZP is a few plastic spacers depending on the one you get. IMO I wouldn't buy it. On their site is a free how to for a cheap kit by buying your own spacers.
Transgo is a good kit. It's not just a replace stock parts. There's no stock shims in the accumulators.
Thrasher IIRC was the same as an Intense set to kill.

So basically get a transgo or if you want a little harder shifts, get the intense kit. Thrasher, well set to kill is obvious lol.

I think ill get a trans go, see if that will fix the problem. I don't need harder shifts per-say but Ill see if that helps. thanks!

No problem. If you want to see a writeup on it, I wrote a good one a while back. Just remember to check out the piston seals and the bores. Replace the seals, or accumulator gasket if needed, and use a scotch brite pad to lightly scuff the bores.
