so today here in northeast ohio its 87 and it seems mostly on hotter days my trans will hit 200-220 and around 190 if i lightly get on the gas it feels like it slips a bit until about 2000 rpm then it stops but when i get on it no issue...i just had the trans rebuilt 3k ago and i just now noticed they over filled it but im having a hard time believing thats what is causing it all.........any idears?

That can cause issues...too much and it aerates and then you don't technically pump fluid and air doesn't work well

checked it again yesterday to be 100% sure at 190* and engine on and in park the fluid was to the end of the words max operating temp

add a quart l--l--l maximum operating temp

so to the dealership i go since they rebuilt it 3k ago

__________^ struck me as funny. It's a great way to explain what you mean and I fully understood it. Better than a picture of the dipstick itself.

well they say its fine and since the trans cooler is tied into the eng rad that it will be as hot as the engine which is bs cuz on the way back home my eng was about 180 while my trans was at 210 and they said u have to check it while its in gear for the pump to be on.....oh and lastly trans temp is good til 250, now from what i have been told and have read thats a crock of crap but what do you all think

either suck the extra fluid out the dip stick tube or crack the pan bolts on one corner and dump a quart or 2 out of it, that's way to high.

and 250 is not ok, dealers suck so bad, anything under 200 is ok, cooler the better. im thinking ive read they like to be 170 or so. is more than ok.
