Trans line leak

Well I've been losing trans fluid for like a month now and it seems to be getting faster. No leak from the pan or by the CV axles. There is however fluid on the air dam and on that big plastic conduit that runs along the bottom of the radiator. It looks to me like the cooler lines run right behind that conduit and they're looking pretty rusty and wet. Question is, if I'm not seeing any other leaks and this area is wet is it a safe assumption to make that it's these lines that are leaking? And The only place I can seem to find the lines is Rock Auto, one for $28 and the other for $37. Are these what I should buy or would it be better to cut the middle out and replace it with fuel injector tubing?

clean the leak up with de greaser, then start the car and wait for the leak to start, then trace it back to its source.

then once you know for sure whats leaking, buy the needed parts.

I had on of the hard lines going to the radiator rust through. It was along the lower core support and not at connection.

I wouldn't bother with adding rubber line too it as if they are as rusty as I think they are its possible it will leak in another spot eventually. I replaced those lined on my Dads car and it wasn't too bad, only hard part was getting the e clips out because they were corroded on with gunk pretty good.

Here's a picture of the two lines on the drivers side. Looks like the one that's all wet and dirty goes to the lower part of the cooler and makes a U shape before it connects to the trans.

im lost on the orientation of your pic. i cant tell if its from the top or bottom. take another but pull out so we can see where we are.

that one line thats all wet, thats the one leaking for sure. looks to be spraying too.

That's standing facing the driver side fender looking down. The black to the left below the hoses is the plastic air dam and to the right is the bell housing.

ok, im there now lol

that one line is still the leak, its where the metal meets the rubber it fails. im not sure if thats the return or supply line tho.

being the bell housing is so wet, id de grease the whole engine and bay, fix the line, then keep a eye out for a valve cover leak.

That's what I'd been reading is the metal to rubber crimp goes bad. Rock auto lists the lines as a lower and upper. Since this go to the bottom of the cooler I'm assuming it's the lower. I'' clean that all off too. Weird thing is I've noticed that on the bell housing, as well as a lot of oil on the pan, but I barley lose any between oil changes (usually around 4K miles). Like only half a quart lost on average. Thanks!
