• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Trans is bleeding!

Well about a month ago i lost first gear then 2nd. I had to manual drop it to first and 2nd for the gears to work. Finally they would just slip. Few weeks i have been driving just in 3rd ( removed TCC fuse)

Well come yesterday I look out my rear view and see white smoke (faint) im about a few miles away from where i had to get too. No dummy lights so i just drove to where i needed to get. Long story short made it a mile from where i needed and finally it started to slip around corners then it started to slip but still move the car. On the way back home we saw that 1+ mile trail of fluid i left. Checked it out today of course no fluid but when i went under car i could not for the life of me find out where it was leaking from. Its not the lines, the side of trans. Tried to find a crack and i see nothing.

Any ideas? If i cant do a temp repair then the car will be sold for scrap.
I dont have the $1800 to have it rebuilt, and even if i could get the financing to get it done, its not worth it. And as far as a junk yard trans. I dont have the time or motivation to do it.

If your able to pull the trans yourself it should even cost half of that. Just got my trans rebuilt with a few upgrades as well for $693. Sticking to privately owned transmission shops that are known for their work will also make it cheaper. The chain stores like AAMCO charge way to much. Dealership prices are a joke.
